Smith: Why do you choose our company to apply for a job?

Jack: I wish to have a job in which I can make good use of my strengths and have further improvement. And your company meets all my requirements.

Smith: Have you got a clear idea about our company?

Jack: Yes, I have purposefully done some homework in advance.

Smith: Have you tried other companies?

Jack: Actually, I have applied to several companies recently. But I am most satisfied with your company.

Smith: Will you take a job which is not in line with your major?

Jack: Admittedly, I hope it is a job in line with my specialty. But I will make the best effort to do the job whatever is assigned to me.

Smith: How long would you work here if you were admitted?

Jack: I would continue to work in the company as long as the job suits me well.

Smith: Do you expect a high salary?

Jack: In my mind, salary is not the most important thing.

Henry: You taught at a local school for a year, right?

Mary: Yes, I was there as an English teacher.

Henry: Did you enjoy yourself there?

Mary: Sure. I was fond of those lovely children

Henry: So why did you decide to resign?

Mary: The school is a little bit too far away. I simply want to take good care of my elderlygrandfather.

Henry: I see. But why don't you continue to work as a teacher?

Mary: I think it's better for me to meet new challenges in life.

Henry: So you can have more room for development.

Mary: And I can experience another kind of life style.

Henry: It sounds like a good idea.

Mary: I hope I can adapt to the new job as soon as possible.

Smith: What do you expect of the position?

Smith: What do you think about occupational planning?

Jack: It is quite important for all of us. Without clear goals, one may lose direction and cannot pavethe way for their future.

Smith: Tell me something about your goals.

Jack: As a graduate, it may be more important to develop myself effectively in my future work. And whatever job I may take, I will make the best efforts.

Smith: If confronted with difficult task, what will you do?

Jack: I will make full use of the chance and get myself ready for the challenges all the time.

Smith: Would you care much about your salary?

Jack: Salary is, admittedly, important, but I will care more about what I can learn from the job.

Smith: If you were assigned some work which you are not so interested, would you take it or not?

Jack: I would take it. After all, interest is not the only thing one should care about.
