如何询问菜名
第一句：What kind of dish is this?
这是什么菜?
A: Have you tried Chinese pepper steak? smoked salmon?
您吃过中式胡椒牛排吗?熏三文鱼?
B: Well, I don't think I have. What kind of dish is this?
我想没吃过，这是什么菜?
A: Oh, that's sweet and sour ribs pasta, Italian famous food.
哦，这是糖醋排骨通心粉，意大利有名的食物。
B: Yes, I had it once. I loved it.
对，我吃过一次，而且很喜欢。
第二句：What's that?
这是什么?
A: What's that?
这是什么?

简单地说，这是上腰牛排加调味料。
相关表达：
点菜时最简单的说法就是：
I'll have this and this. 我要点这个和这个。
当然是限于指着菜单对服务员说的。犹豫不决时请说：Let me think. 让我想想看。服务员就会等你的。
如何买单
第一句：Could I have the bill, please?
请拿账单来，好吗?

是付账时常说的句子，还可以说：Check please. check 和 bill 都有付账的意思。
更有礼貌的说法是：I'd like to settle the bill. 我想结账。
也可以说 Please let me have the bill. 如果要收据的话，就说：
Please give me a receipt. 请给我开一张收据。
如何打包带走
第一句：Can you give me a doggie bag?
请你帮我打包行吗?
A: Excuse me, waiter. Can you give me a doggie bag?
打扰一下，服务员，请你帮我打包行吗?
B: Wait for a moment. I'll fetch.
请稍等，我去取袋。
第二句：To go, please.
带走。
A: Will that be for here or to go?
在这儿吃还是带走?
B: To go, please.

相关表达法：
打包有两种情况。第一种是你点完菜之后，服务员问你在这儿吃还是打包带走?用英语是这样说的 For here or to go?
如果你想说，在这儿吃，就是：For here, please.
如果要带走，也就是打包带走，就说：To go, please.
另外一种情况是你吃完了饭，对服务员说，服务员，请打一下包，那就是
Can you give me a doggie bag? 或是用 doggie box 代替 doggie bag，说成 Can you give me a doggie box?
要提醒一点，不要在高级的餐厅说 doggie bag，因为 doggie bag 是非常随意的说法，
这个时候你说“ Can you give me a box? ” 就可以了。
